 uwem Akpan is the author of Say You’re One of Them. He was born in Nigeria where he currently works as a priest. This was his first book. The first edition of say you’re one of them was published on June 9th 2009 by little brown and company. His book has been recognized for awards such as; Los Angeles Times Seidenbaum Award, the Guardian First Book Award, the Caine Prize for African Writing, Dayton Literary Peace Prize in the Fiction Category and Long listed for the Story Prize.
